ITINERARY
Day 1
Arrival in Tbilisi
Upon your arrival at Tbilisi International Airport, you will be met by your tour guide, then welcomed with drinks and light refreshments at your hotel. Your first evening will culminate in a delightful dinner in Old Tbilisi, offering you the initial taste of Georgian flavors, complemented by Saperavi wine and the enchanting sounds of polyphonic music. You will then enjoy an overnight stay in Tbilisi.

Day 2
Kvemo Kartli & Tsalka Canyon Adventure
After breakfast and hotel check-out, you will depart for Kvemo Kartli, the southern region of Georgia. Your first stop, about a 30–40-minute drive away, is Asureti, a 19th-century German village, where you'll listen to compelling stories of how the Soviet era impacted the German settlers and learn about the cultural remnants that remain. Lunch will be served at Edi’s Dacha, offering a delicious mix of Georgian Armenian culinary traditions. You will then continue your journey to Akhaltsikhe, with a scenic break near Paravani Lake, approximately a 1.5-hour drive, where guests will hear legends of how Christianity first arrived in Georgia. Dinner in Akhaltsikhe, about a 2-hour drive, will feature traditional regional cuisine, a delightful blend of Georgian and Armenian tastes.
You will spend the night in Akhaltsikhe.

Day 3
Vardzia & Ude Village Gastronomy
After breakfast, your day begins with a morning visit to the spectacular Vardzia Monastery, a UNESCO tentative site dramatically carved into cliffs, about an hour's drive away. Afterward, you will travel to Ude Village, also an hour's drive, for a unique monastery lunch featuring traditional dishes, including the regionally famous snail, perfectly paired with local monastery wine. You'll then have the opportunity to explore the village's extraordinary semi-subterranean houses, uniquely designed for defense and insulation. The journey continues back to Akhaltsikhe, a 20-minute drive, for an exclusive hands-on gastronomy workshop where you'll make your own Meskhetian Kada or Apokhti Khinkali, a rare and ancient dumpling variety which you will then have for dinner.

Day 4
Journey to Adjara via Ghorjomi Valley
Today features a scenic drive through the picturesque Ghorjomi Valley. You will visit Zarzma Monastery, where you can enjoy the melodies of the local choir, a 40-minute drive away. Afterwards, lunch will be served in Goderdzi, a highland ski and eco-resort region. Following this, you’ll relax with a tea and herbal tasting experience on the balcony of a local family home, approximately a 1 hour and 40 minute drive away. The rest of the afternoon includes a private cheese-making session with a skilled local artisan and cultural walk through multi-faith Adjara villages, offering insights into Muslim-Christian coexistence and iconic wooden mosques. Conclude the day with dinner featuring a curated tasting of Adjara’s unique eco-cheeses and regional dishes.

You will then visit a women-run embroidery workshop, gaining insight into the textile heritage of the highlands, with souvenirs included.

From the Coast to Lechkhumi Wine Country
Today, you will depart for the Lechkhumi region, approximately a 5-hour drive. En route, enjoy a gourmet lunch at Shukura, a local seaside-style restaurant located in an old lighthouse. Upon arrival in Lechkhumi, a pristine and lesser-known wine microzone, you will settle in. Your evening culminates with a sunset dinner at Veranda Korenishuli Wine Hotel, where you'll participate in a wine-pairing session at a traditional qvevri cellar, utilizing UNESCO-recognized winemaking methods.

Day 7
Myths & Mountains in Lechkhumi and Racha
Embark on a jeep tour to Khvamli Mountain, famously associated with the Prometheus legend, approximately a 1 hour and 30 minute drive. Following this, you'll partake in a private masterclass at Zanduri’s Sakhli, a heritage house preserving Georgian bread traditions, to make your own Georgian burger with local fresh bread, ingredients, and meat, about a 1 hour and 20 minute drive. You will then continue to the Racha region, known as the “Pearl of the Caucasus.” Your overnight stay will be at Aznauri’s House, a noble heritage estate reflecting traditional architecture, approximately a 50-55 minute drive.

Day 8
Goglati Village to the North Caucasus
Today, you will explore Goglati, a living village museum renowned for its preserved wooden architecture and cultural heritage, a 30-minute drive away. You will then visit a winery in the Khvanchkara microzone, famous for its unique red semi-sweet varietal, for lunch and a wine tasting. Afterward, visit Gona Village for leisure and scenic exploration, about a 1 hour and 20 minute drive. The afternoon includes a hands-on woodcarving demonstration and craft workshop with local painter Temur in Oni. Dinner in Oni will feature a traditional folk music performance and regional specialties like lobiani.

Day 9
North-East Georgia
Today, you will depart to the north of Georgia to discover the diverse tastes of the Caucasus. You will arrive in Tianeti for lunch, where you can sample northern Caucasian cheeses and dairy products, approximately a 4 to 4.5-hour drive. The journey continues with a drive to the Akhmeta region along a scenic, secluded forest road. Enjoy a relaxing evening and dinner in Akhmeta, featuring the renowned Kakhetian wine, Saperavi.

Day 10
Culinary Depth in Pankisi Valley
Your day begins with a visit to a traditional brewery producing non-alcoholic Ingush beer in Pankisi, a unique experience approximately 20 minutes away. This is followed by a cultural walk through Pankisi villages. You'll then participate in a Khinkali masterclass with Leila, where you'll savor a unique twist on the dumpling featuring mountain herbs and Ingush spices, followed by a home-style lunch at Leila’s. The afternoon includes a jeep excursion into Pankisi’s mountains with oral history about North Caucasian migration before and after the Chechen War. The day concludes with a hosted dinner with Nazy, a local leader in cultural preservation.
As a highlight, there's an optional attendance at a Zikri Sufi chanting ritual, a meditative spiritual ceremony at risk of disappearing.

Shrines and Wine in Kakheti
Begin your morning with a visit to Kvetera Monastery, a hidden UNESCO tentative site nestled in the forest, about a 20-30 minute drive. Continue to Kvemo Alvani for a rustic lunch of mountain khinkali and artisan chacha tasting, approximately a 30-minute drive. You will then have a guided tour of Alaverdi Monastery’s ancient winemaking tradition before transferring back to Tbilisi, a 1.5 to 2-hour drive.
Enjoy some free time in Tbilisi, followed by dinner with a view in Old Tbilisi, with optional cuisine choices including Georgian fusion, European fine dining, or an Asian tasting menu.

Tbilisi Farewell

Finally, you will be transferred to Tbilisi International Airport for your departure.
