Day 1
Discovering Almaty
Meet your guide upon arrival and transfer to your hotel. Begin your Almaty exploration at the lively Green Bazaar, famous for fresh produce, local snacks, and colorful stalls. Continue to Panfilov Park, home to the impressive wooden Zenkov Cathedral, also known as Ascension Cathedral, one of the tallest wooden structures in the world.
Head up to Kok-Tobe Hill via a scenic mountain road, where you can stroll through the park, enjoy panoramic city views from the observation deck, and browse souvenir shops. End the day with a relaxing cable car ride back down to the city center.

Day 2
Almaty → Charyn Canyon → Almaty
Take a full-day adventure to the iconic Charyn Canyon, a natural wonder known for its deep orange cliffs and rock formations shaped over 12 million years. During the 3-hour drive, learn about Kazakh culture, regional history, and nomadic traditions.
Upon arrival, take in the sweeping landscapes before walking through the Valley of Castles, surrounded by towering, castle-like cliffs. Enjoy lunch at a local café and some free time to explore before returning to Almaty.

Day 3
Issyk Lake & Saka Heritage
Travel through the scenic Issyk Gorge, historically part of the ancient Kuldja trade route. Stop at the ISSYK State Historical & Cultural Museum-Reserve to explore artifacts from the Saka period, including golden treasures, weapons, ceramics, and a replica of the famed Golden Man.
Continue to the stunning Issyk Lake at 1,756 meters above sea level. Enjoy its turquoise waters, take photos, relax in nature, and learn about the 1963 natural disaster that reshaped the area. A picnic lunch and free leisure time complete your day before returning to the hotel.

Day 4
Medeo, Shymbulak & Sunkar Falcon Show
Start your day at the world-renowned Medeo Ice Rink, perched high in the mountains and known for its massive ice surface and international winter sports. Then ride up to Shymbulak Ski Resort, nestled at 2,260 meters, and enjoy spectacular alpine scenery.
In the afternoon, visit the Sunkar Falcon Nursery, home to rare birds of prey. Discover Kazakhstan’s falconry traditions through an exciting live show (May–October), where trained birds demonstrate hunting techniques and aerial skills.

Day 5
Kazakh Heritage & Shopping
Begin with a cultural immersion at the Huns Ethno Village, where you’ll experience authentic nomadic life. Enjoy a traditional greeting ceremony, learn to make baursak (Kazakh bread), enter a yurt, watch traditional games, see a horse show, enjoy a local dance performance, and try your hand at archery.
In the afternoon, go on a shopping tour to the Green Bazaar, Rahat Chocolate Market, and Dostyk Plaza for local snacks, souvenirs, and handcrafted goods.
