ITINERARY

Day 1

 Arrival – Drive to Thimphu

  • Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by your tour representative, who will provide a brief orientation before you set off for Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu.

Known as the residence of the King and the Royal Family, Thimphu offers a blend of tradition and modernity. Your first stop will be the National Memorial Chorten, where you’ll witness elderly locals engaged in peaceful circumambulation—a deeply spiritual Bhutanese practice.

  • Next, you'll visit the iconic Buddha Point at Kuenselphodrang Nature Park. Here stands a towering Buddha statue overlooking the city, offering panoramic views of the Thimphu Valley—an ideal spot for photos and quiet reflection.

  • To end your day, explore the grand Tashichho Dzong—a majestic fortress that houses both the throne room and monastic quarters.

  • After exploring Thimphu, you'll be transferred to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure, followed by a hearty dinner served at the hotel.

  • Meals: Lunch and Dinner

Day 2

Thimphu – Paro Sightseeing

  • After a hearty breakfast and check-out from your hotel in Thimphu, your day will begin with a 2-hour drive to Paro, a picturesque valley rich in history and ancient architecture.

  • Upon arrival in Paro, you’ll check in and drop off your luggage at the hotel. Your sightseeing begins at Rinpung Dzong, also known as “The Fortress of a Heap of Jewels”—a striking example of traditional Bhutanese architecture and an important religious and administrative center. Just above the dzong sits Ta Dzong, originally built as a watchtower and now home to Bhutan’s National Museum, where you’ll discover a captivating collection of Buddhist art, ancient relics, and traditional thangkas.

  • After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples, dating back to the 7th century. This peaceful and spiritual site offers deep insight into Bhutan’s cultural and religious heritage.

Conclude your day by returning to your hotel in Paro for a relaxing evening.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 3

Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang)

  • Fuel up with a filling breakfast before beginning your hike to the legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery—perched up on a cliffside 900 meters above the Paro Valley. The hike takes around two hours and winds through forests of rhododendron and pine, offering stunning natural scenery along the way. Midway through, the tour will stop at a local cafeteria for lunch and refreshments.

  • Once you reach Taktsang Monastery, take your time to explore its sacred halls and soak in the serenity of one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks. The hike is challenging but incredibly rewarding.

  • Upon your return to the valley, enjoy some leisure time—stroll through local streets, browse the handicraft shops, or pick up handmade bamboo products.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
